yah, we normally have a bunch of us admins prowling different sections of issues and resolving them.

depending on how much caffeine/beer the admin covering your rows has had ;-) depends on how quick they are found and resolved.

typically it's up to a few hours during California business hours, sometimes it can take 1-2 days. Rarely it goes longer than that -- but then it's due to a severe problem like a motherboard corrupting or a harddisk corrupting where we are having a hard time getting replacement parts, etc.

so items can sit "read only" until we get things fixed -- but we don't really lose much data, ever, phew! (in my 7+ years back here, we've lost maybe 100s of files at the most -- and that's out of maybe 50M+ files, phew!)
